Starting from humble beginnings in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, McDonald Jones has a proud history of building homes for local families.
In 2016 as the business approached it's 30th year, they wanted to give back to their hometown and show their support for the region by providing a name for Hunter Stadium.
Announcing the naming rights of McDonald Jones Stadium this reflected their unwavering commitment to the Hunter community and sports fans across the region.
McDonald Jones Stadium is the centrepiece of Venue NSW's Hunter sports precinct with a capacity of over 30,000 people, and it is recognised as one of Australia's leading regional multi-purpose Stadiums.
The venue is home ground for the regions two flagship sporting franchises, the Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets and is a safe and welcoming environment for local fans and guests travelling from afar. In addition to professional domestic sporting teams, McDonald Jones Stadium has welcomed the Wallabies and International Rugby Union, Maltidas and International Football, LA Galaxy, Nitro Circus events, Rugby League Test and NRL All-Star matches and numerous charitable initiatives such as Beanie for Brain Cancer.
In addition, the Stadium boasts multiple function rooms and hospitality areas, making this one of the most versatile and popular venues in Regional NSW.
Just like the homes McDonald Jones build, the Stadium has captured lifelong memories for so many families across Australia. McDonald Jones look forward to sharing in the future memories waiting to be made.
